" I am the vine;

[Jesus said,] "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. ... This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples."   John 15:5,8 (NIV)

    You may have noticed that this is the verse of the day up at the top. when I saw it this morning, I thought that it could not have been a more appropriate message for us today.

   I can personally attest to the fact that if you decide to go it alone and try to figure out things by yourself, the road gets difficult!

   This verses here makes it even more clear to us:

   John 15:5    "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (6)If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. (7)If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. (8)This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples." (NIV)

       Just keep in mind that asking whatever you wish must be in God's will. If it goes against the Word of God, you are not going to get it!

    Furthermore, if you go it alone, you are in for one mess after another! Let Father and Jesus direct your paths even if you do not like the direction. You will be blessed when it is all over
