The Law

I was browsing through a message  board yesterday on the subject about Keith Ellison using the Koran instead of the KJV Bible when he is sworn into office next month.

There were two individuals who were having a somewhat heated discussion on the matter and that is what got my attention. One was a Christian and the other an Atheist. I'll tell you flat out that in most cases , the Atheist was more knowledgeable about the Bible than the Christian was.

Anyway, they were discussing rules and laws about which Bible should be used fir the swearing in. Neither should be but that's another article!

The Christian was harping about laws so the Atheist brought up the fact that most Christians selectively use the laws that are convenient for them at the time, ie. tithing, ect.  The Atheist told the Christian that if you break one law( see Leviticus) then you have broken them all. His point to the Christian was that we should obey all of the laws and then suffer the consequences if we do not. I guess that he hasn't heard about 'grace' yet?

Anyway, I have a link to all 613 commandments that we'd have to follow if we were still under the law!  Makes great reading.
