Nigerian E-Mail Scammers Target Churches, Ministers

The depths of greed in today's churches never ceases to amaze me!      This is the story, which was on ABC's 20/20 Friday night, of some churches that got scammed out of alot of money by these Nigerian crooks. Hickory Ridge Community Church in Sussex County, Del. got some prominent followers scammed out of some $350,000 after they were told that the church had $41,000,000 waiting for them. Of course, it was from someone that had died and left the money for church fix ups and whatever.        More From ABCNews                               -----------------------------------------     They had to pay a tax before they could get the money so they went to Nigeria 3 times to get this done.    I will say this! The church people had email so they obviously had Internet access. If they were not smart enough to know that they were being scammed, OH WELL! They saw the dollar signs and got greedy and then they got ripped off!      I guess that praying about this never entered anyone's mind?     What is that about the love of money....?
