Study Your Bible Carefully

One of the problems that many Christians have with the Bible is the fact that they do not know how to study it in the right way. We have become accustomed to just opening the book up and then just reading it and maybe memorizing a verse or two. We take everything that the preacher says to us on Sunday as fact without checking up in the topic ourselves. This should not be!  "Study To Show Thyself Approved Unto God " (2 Tim. 2:15)     Note that the scripture says to study, not to just read. Bible study involves many things in order to get God's Word right. Believe me, the KJV is so out of whack that it really does take up real time to get the true meanings from the Word.     Over the centuries, man has screwed up the intended meaning so bad that most of the NT is completely mis-understood. You must keep in mind the times that it was penned along with the culture at the time. You must also remember that the meanings in the far east back then do not necessarily have the same meanings today. You must understand the words by its time, not ours.  "... rightly dividing the word of truth." ( 2 Tim. 2:15                           "Happy [is] the man [that] findeth wisdom, and the man [that] getteth understanding." ( Prov. 3:13)
