Living In The Past

Many Christians have a problem with living in the past when it comes to being forgiven of their sins. Their mind (Satan) tells them that they are not good enough for the grace of God and they go on with the guilt trip.    I've been there a few times myself because some of the things that I used to do, that I was not proud of, would not go away. The devil is a good one for bringing up past sins that you would rather forget!    After he has worked on your mind a little bit, you begin to think that there is no way God could ever forgive you and these past things continue to nag at you.     Always remember this.     God will give you beauty for ashes, but you have to give up the ashes!     God is not " I was"     God is " I AM!"     1 Peter 2:23-25 23 and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously; 24 and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. 25 For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.
